The Rio Grande Super Late Models are the top of the line "run what you brung" stock car class. These cars feature all tubular chassis, quick change rear ends, hand made aluminum bodies' and aluminum "big inch" engines on carbureted alcohol. These machines really move the dirt as they thunder around the track.
The Rio Grande Super Late Models race at the Hollywood Hills Speedway. Hollywood Hills Speedway, New Mexico's newest high banked 3/8 mile clay oval, where local and regional competitors compete on a weekly basis from May to September. This world class racing complex features seating for 10,000 as well as sixteen VIP suites.
The Speedway is located on the San Felipe Pueblo, between Albuquerque and Santa Fe on Interstate 25 at exit 252 (map). The Speedway's parking lot is equipped with one hundred RV spaces that are within walking distance of the San Felipe Travel Center and the beautiful (newly remodeled) Casino Hollywood, where you can dine and play before and after the races.
The word is out that “The Track is Back” and the 2007 proved that top-notch racing would be the norm at Hollywood Hills Speedway.
